Flea Rock was born in Miami, Florida, and now lives in Los Angeles. A member of Skill Methodz and First Class Dream Team, he gave himself his breaking name when he was 12 years old because, in his style of dancing, he jumped around a lot like a flea.
Flea Rock started breaking in 1993 when he was 11 after seeing some breakers at a skating rink in Miami. From that moment he fell in love with the dance, started to practise it – and never stopped.

His first breaking teachers were B-Boy Troll, B-Boy Styles and B-Boy Supreme (all from Miami) who taught him the foundations of the dance. Movies like Breakin and Beat Street were also big inspirations for Flea Rock as a kid, as well as B-Boy Float from Incredible Breakers and Kid Alex from NYC Breakers.
Flea Rock is one of the most well-known and respected breakers in the world. He's won a lot of competitions with his crew, including 2on2 titles like Circle Kingz and the B1 Battle in Japan. He's toured with everyone from Rihanna and Gwen Stefani to Mariah Carey and Chris Brown, and performed for luminaries such as Michael Jordan and Predident Barack Obama. He was also one the actors in the Step up 3 movie.
Outside of breaking, Flea Rock makes music, producing and rapping under the name, Nike Messiah. He's also building his own clothing line called First Class Clothing. As well as this he continues acting on the side and is the proud father of two B-Boys.
Having been dancing for 29 years, breaking is everything to Flea Rock. He's never once fallen out of love with the dance and says that it saved his life by helping him to get out of south Miami.
Flea Rock says breaking has been, "My space ship taking me everywhere I've always dreamed to be. I love the life it has given me. It made me and took care of me financially through Hollywood work, to making millions of dollars over the years through street performing all around the globe with one of the most successful street shows in the world."
